Making photographs gives me the opportunity to recreate a feeling, share an experience and make a connection.
My Dad's philosophy of life centered around 3 P's - Patience, Perseverance and Positive Thinking. I added a fourth - Passion, and those four P's propel me into creating my art and doing the business of photography. My work includes advertising, annual reports, special events and creative portraiture. Every project I dive into is a process, and healing plays a role in that.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1995, I turned the camera on myself.
In January of 2006 I was part of a group of volunteers with Musicians for World Harmony who
visited orphanages in Kenya and Tanzania. I knew that being able to convey
the experience of that trip would be yet another gift towards my own growth.
It was.
We live at a time when healing ourselves and our planet is desperately
